Zone Based Action Plan

Your Roadmap to a Thriving and Sustainable Home Garden

Following our initial site visit, the next stage is the development of a Zone Based Action Plan. This approach is designed to make large projects feel approachable by breaking your yard into focused and manageable areas.

Instead of viewing your property as one overwhelming task, we categorize it into functional zones such as a Rain Garden, a Wildflower Meadow, or a Shady Entrance. These are just examples as we customize each zone to be suitable for your specific needs and growing conditions.

What Your Plan Includes

  • The Goal: A clear vision for how that area should look and function.
  • Site Prep: Step by step instructions on how to prepare the ground for planting.
  • Native Plant List: A curated selection of plants chosen specifically for your soil and light conditions from our native plant nursery.

Two Options to Choose

1. Zone Based Action Plan – This deep dive provides the specific site prep and planting list stated above for each individual zone.

2. Full Property Zone Map – This provides a high level map of your whole property and a proposed zone and function for each space without getting into the detailed zone specifics.

Cultivating Success

Most of our gardens are cultivated over 3 to 5 years. We aim to create beauty and function that suits your goals while requiring the least amount of inputs like water, maintenance, or outside materials over time. We typically start developing your highest priority areas and continually expand the project over time.

We create these plans so that no matter who is working in your garden, there is a clear path to follow. We offer maintenance services on our installations as well as instruction if you prefer to perform the work yourself or hire a third party service.
